North
Carolina Association of
Community College Trustees

Election 2006

While the North Carolina Community College Faculty
Association, because
of our tax status, cannot endorse any candidate or political party during
this election, the association will provide the data resulting from
the following survey questions to inform its members and the public
of the candidates’ position on issues important to North Carolina’s
community colleges and faculty.

Each candidate was asked the following survey
questions:

1 Do you support and, if
elected, would you vote
for full funding to raise the salaries of community college
faculty and professional staff to the national average during the next
two legislative sessions according to the provisions of Section 8.3(a) of the
North Carolina 2004 Budget Act?
2 Do you support and, if
elected, would you vote
for full funding on the enrollment growth of community colleges?
3 Do you support and, if
elected, would you vote
for adequate funding for the equipment needs of community colleges?
